WTF LJ?! Why are you doing this to me?!

I've recently created a Dreamwidth account at http://www.dreamwidth.org/

As always, my username is

corlee1289

I plan on cross-posting there since I've become paranoid that Livejournal will ultimately crash sooner or later since it's been giving me problems recently...

I'm not crazy right? There are times when I try to log in to LJ and it just won't load.

So for the next few days, I plan on transferring all my older entries to my DW account X3

Mind you, LJ will be what I'll always use, but my DW will be a backup account.

So if in the midst LJ completely explodes, you can always find me on DW <3

EDIT: For those of you who want to transfer your LJ layout to your DW account, please check out THIS, I'm still tweaking my DW layout... But it's not working out... Let me know if you guys do better!!

EDIT EDIT: I DID IT!! *plays Final Fantasy victory music* But I still need to fix the profile's bio page...

OH THANK GAWD!!

I thought it was just my internet connection that was going haywire!!

I'm able to load all the other pages but no LJ TT^TT

So I plan on transferring everything on my LJ to DW in case it does spontaneously explode.

The only thing that I don't like is the layouts, I can't seem to customize my DW layout to what I currently have on LJ *sighs*

There's a way to have your LJ layout on DW--but I don't know how to do it.

Ahhhh~

I'm currently using the "import content" function on DW (which is really cool!) to transfer all my entries.

I just need to figure out how to fix my bio and layout to make it like my LJ.

Someone was able to change my layout for me; the layout I have on LJ is the same on DW. But if I remembered how to do it, I would tell you, and the person who instructed me has taken a little break from posting due to school and work. I'm sure there's someone on your friends list who can instruct you.

I'll try and sift through my comments on DW and LJ to see if I can find the instructions how to change and custom your layout.

EDIT: I found it!! But I just need to fix the bio page on the DW account to match the LJ one... Which I'm having difficulty doing...

You can do eet! Yes, Anime North. I want to dress up but I fear I don't have enough time to make a costume...I was thinking of making a crude model of the Solar System (Pluto include, dangit) and wearing it, along with glitter to look like stars. I'll be dressed in black, to mimic a Black Hole, which there is one at the centre of the Milky Way, and it's drawing the Andromeda galaxy towards us so they'll end up crashing and destroying each other completely. And then, out of the rubble of cosmic dust and raw energy and chemicals, a new galaxy will be formed...and oh my goodness my head is spinning.

LJ has been undergoing a Denial of Service attacks recently, possibly something to do with cyberattacks related to Russian politics.

I noticed!!

Everytime I tried to load LJ it would always say that the connection was reset! And then when I went to refresh the page, it would never bloody load!!

But on the bright side, because LJ was down... I was able to study and memorize useless stuff for my Japanese class XD

I burst out laughing at seeing your icon!!

Under the "Organize" section, there's something that says "Import Content" XD

It transfers and converts everything from your LJ into your DW account which is really neat! Though it might take some time for your journal entries/comments be converted into your DW account.

Mine took about a day to finish converting since LJ is still sometimes down and there's a queue.

But lookie look! I have all my entries now on my DW account!!
