Emergency room madness  
I just had to drive Daniel to the emergency room because his heart rate was over 200 beats per minute. 

I'm hoping he'll be fine, the doctors are having difficulty bringing his heart rate down despite having injected him with a bunch of medications. 

They informed me that they'll need to put him to sleep in order to shock his heart with some electricity in order to bring back his heart rate stable since the drugs aren't doing anything at all. 

We were immediately admitted at 11:30PM and have been here for two hours and counting.

He's fine and stable for the meantime, but they're going to keep him for a few more days in order to monitor him.

I read all your comments to this entry, and all I can do is wishing him well. I think your parents are glad the big sister reacted that way and thought of taking his pulse on her own. And it's understandable to see it as a cold, who would see sth. like that coming?! But I hope they find the reason of this, even if it implies that he has to have a pacemaker at that young age. But he and your family won't this to happen again, right?
